Doxa
Doxa watch - a touch of Swiss luxury
The Doxa watch brand was founded by the famous Swiss watchmaker George Ducommon. The family business of Henry Aubry and later Marcel Aubry founded the first Doxa watch factory in Le Locle. In 1925, the Doxa company was the first watchmaking company in the world to recognize the power of advertising to stimulate purchases and produced a one-week wind-up car watch for the Bugatti sports car factory in the 1930s. In 1938, the first mechanical Bauhaus-inspired Grafic watch with a square case is produced. After 1950, Doxa became one of the most popular and well-known brands throughout Europe and the Far East. In the 1960s, it also began to gain ground in the USA. All members of the German national team that won the 1954 World Cup in Switzerland will receive gold watches specially produced by the Doxa company for this occasion. Since then, the Doxa brand has been continuously developing and tries to make wristwatches that meet the needs of all markets.
